Welcome to Emmanuel Lutheran Church! We are committed to providing a safe and loving environment where children and parent's can experience Biblical truths as they grow in God’s word. We look forward to seeing your family each Sunday and partnering with you to “train up the children in the way they should go!”
The music ministry at Emmanuel features Praise Band, choir, and hand bells. Sound engineering and technical aspects like changing the song lyric slides or running the livestream and cameras are also a part of the music ministry at Emmanuel.
Praise Band – Guitars, keyboard, drums, and vocals are part of our team that leads worship at our 11:00 blended service on Sundays. We play modern worship songs, older worship songs, and hymn arrangements. Our team is like a family that plays together and prays together. Rehearsals are on the fourth Tuesday and Thursday of each month. If you would like to join our lively team, please contact Heather Meulenberg at [email protected]
Choir – Our choir sings a special anthem at the beginning of the 8:30 service and the 11:00 service most Sundays. The Call to Worship is an important part of our service that encourages the congregation to turn their minds and hearts from the cares of the week, and to refocus them on Jesus, Scripture, and the Message. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings. If you have a heart for music in God’s house, and you have the gift of singing, please contact Heather Meulenberg for more information at [email protected]
Hand bells - Our hand bell team plays periodically on Sunday mornings at both the 8:30 and 11:00 services. If you can read music, and you would like to play an instrument in church that is fairly easy to learn and play, then hand bells might be just the fit for you! Our current members love to help new members learn and have fun together! Please contact Heather Meulenberg for more information at [email protected]
Sound and Tech – If you are interested in learning how to run the sound board, the song lyric slides, or the livestream at either or both of our Sunday services, we would love to have you! Training is available for all, and it is a great way to get involved in the music ministry and serve God’s house in a very important, but behind-the-scenes kind of way. No previous experience is necessary, just a willing heart and a can-do attitude! Email Heather Meulenberg at [email protected] with any questions or to start getting involved!
