Transformation Village

Transformation Village is transitional housing that gives hope, healing, health, and home to single women, mothers with children, and female veterans in need.   Our volunteers provide the meal every third Wednesday at 6:00 pm for the women and children of Transformation Village.

If you would like to volunteer to help with meals, please contact Judith Walter.

ABCCM

Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM) is one of the key non-profit organizations addressing poverty, hunger, homelessness and access to health care for the under-served in Buncombe County, serving annually around 50,000.  Begun as a small collaboration of churches in 1969, ABCCM has played a significant role in meeting emergency assistance needs for families in crisis, coordinating religious services and education activities at the jail, providing transitional and permanent supportive housing of the homeless through 300 beds, increasing access to health care for half the uninsured and medically underserved; as well as work readiness, mentoring and job placement services.  We serve veterans across 26 WNC counties.

ABCCM is generously supported by over 289 churches of all denominations and 6,100 trained volunteers and provides emergency assistance to anyone in need regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, or disability.

When you use your gifts and passions to serve others, it honors God and allows our church to thrive. From welcoming guests to mentoring children and teens, there's a place for your unique contribution. And when you step up to serve, God can use you in ways you never expected. Serving not only honors God, but also allows great relationships to develop.

Consider taking next steps to get involved. For compassion related serving next steps or other church wide serving opportunities, the next step is yours.
