I see it every day. A person who has never felt the need for financial guidance walks through my door right after a significant life event - maybe the birth of a child, a marriage or even an unexpected inheritance. Life events like these trigger the need to meet with your financial representative to ensure that your financial strategy is on track with your goals.
Marriage. About two-thirds of married people say they disagree with their spouse about money. A good way to lessen the stress is to discuss your values, goals and needs with a financial professional and make decisions together.
Birth or adoption of a child. Making room in your budget for the new addition is important. It's also important to evaluate your need for additional disability income and life insurance coverage. Many new parents start looking at college funding options as well.
Inheritance. Many people devote time and attention to what will happen if they die, but often overlook the fact that they might receive a loved one's legacy. A financial professional can help you responsibly steward and invest the money in ways that align with your values, goals and needs.
Retirement. Both financially preparing for retirement and appropriately tapping one's financial assets in retirement are key needs in our changing society.

The ministries at Emmanuel happen in large part because of one thing: volunteers!
When you use your gifts and passions to serve others, it honors God and allows our church to thrive. From welcoming guests to mentoring children and teens, there's a place for your unique contribution. And when you step up to serve, God can use you in ways you never expected. Serving not only honors God, but also allows great relationships to develop.
Consider taking next steps to get involved. For compassion related serving next steps or other church wide serving opportunities, the next step is yours.
